Due to a recent rise in respiratory illnesses within the Bemidji area, Sanford Bemidji Medical Center and Sanford Bagley Medical Center has put in place visitor restrictions.

Visitor restrictions will be effective at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Sanford Bemidji Medical Center, originally founded in 1898, has more than 6,000 admissions and 800 births each year in our level II nursery. As a regional hub, the emergency department, a level III trauma center, treats nearly 30,000 patients a year.

Our care team provides inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac care, general medical/surgical/orthopedics care, intensive and critical care services, radiology, diagnostic testing, rehabilitation services and emergency care. We have a women’s & children’s center and a special care nursery.

Our medical center has 118 licensed beds and four floors of care. It is also home to Sanford Bemidji Heart & Vascular Center. Patients with clinic appointments at the heart & vascular center should use the east entrance to the Medical Center.
