Unlike mission-based or mobile treatment programs, the Sanford World Clinic initiative provides communities with sustainable health care infrastructure to last for generations. Through the operating capital it provides for each Sanford World Clinic, Sanford develops and operates each clinic and network, implementing the organization's comprehensive management functions. Each Sanford World Clinic also benefits from access to Sanford’s physicians, nurses, research scientists, clinical educators and others, and allows staff to combine clinical services and scientific discovery to provide the most advanced care available.

Sanford engages local individuals and partner organizations who share our vision of increased access to health care. Each of the clinics and networks represents a unique partnership, whereby Sanford has collaborated with local providers, health care systems/hospitals, government entities, business leaders, philanthropic organizations and other interested organizations.
