Postpartum: Adjusting to a New You
Ideal for parents about to deliver or who have delivered recently, this class will focus on the ongoing physical and emotional recovery in the first year after childbirth including life changes new parents may experience.
Topics include physical recovery and warning signs, the importance of sleep, staying active & nutrition, signs & symptoms of the baby blues and postpartum depression and where to get help. This interactive class will go in-depth on discussing self-care and how relationships may need to adapt after having a baby. Participants will also work on creating postpartum plan and learn of support resources available to them.
When is the class?
This 2 hour class is offered in-person and online
Who should attend and when?
Pregnant individuals around 36 weeks prenatal to a few months postpartum. Partners or support persons are encouraged to also attend.
If you have already had your baby, feel free to bring your baby to class (up until baby starts crawling).
