Sanford Bemidji Crisis Center

Sanford Bemidji Crisis Center

The Sanford Bemidji Crisis Center is the region’s only inpatient behavioral health crisis center. You’ll receive care from a trained team that can include:

  • Health care practitioners
  • Mental health professionals
  • Medical staff

The center includes a behavioral health hospital, which offers eight adult psychiatric inpatient beds. The hospital serves adults over the age of 18 who:

  • Have acute (short-term and severe) psychiatric disorders
  • May need hospitalization
  • May be a threat to themselves, their families or others

The rest of the building is dedicated to three separate EmPATH units. These units provide crisis support services to those experiencing a mental health crisis. They are the only ones in the state that can accommodate children, adults and families.

The 12,000-square-foot facility is a collaboration with Beltrami County and generous donors.
