Kristofer Kimber, MD

Dr. Kristofer Kimber specializes in sports medicine. He provides non-operative and operative treatment for all athletes including professional/college/high school/junior high athletes, weekend warriors, and mature athletes.

He sees all types of athletic injuries, but specializes in the following:

  • Arthroscopic surgery of the knee including ligament reconstruction, meniscal repair, patellar instability, and articular cartilage repair/transplant
  •  Arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder including rotator cuff repair, biceps related pain, and shoulder instability

He also provides care of traumatic injuries including fractures/dislocations/sprains/strains and performs total knee and total hip arthroplasty.

He is team physician for Augustana University and Lincoln High School and is the former team physician for Jackson State University and numerous other high schools. He serves as an assistant professor at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. He also enjoys helping instruct lab courses for the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He has given numerous lectures on various sports medicine topics.
