Sundeep Alapati, DO

Experience & Research

Dr. Alapati has authored multiple book chapters and published numerous journal articles in his fields of expertise. He has also presented at numerous national and international conferences on topics related to head and neck cancer.

He previously served as the director of head and neck surgery at the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. During that time, he also served as an assistant professor of otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Afterward, he returned to his home state of Alabama, where he started a head and neck surgery program in Huntsville.

Idea of Care

I believe that we are currently in the golden era of cancer treatment. There have been rapid advances in research over the last decade. These changes have allowed physicians like me to tailor treatment plans to the individual.

I believe in treating patients with a very scientific approach that also focuses on every person’s individual needs and circumstances. I have practiced in this field in almost every corner of this wonderful country – from one of our most dense cities to one of our most rural states. I have had patients come to see me from six different continents. It has always been an honor and privilege to care for my patients, and I have always felt a part of the community that I serve no matter where I am.

Personal Interests

Dr. Alapati is married and enjoys spending time with his wife, son and mini Aussiedoodle. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking and traveling.
