Dr. Jon Ulven practices psychology, specializing in behavioral health and psychotherapy.
He treats conditions including:
- Anxiety disorders (e.g., generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, health illness anxiety)
- Depressive disorders
- Adjustment disorders
He has worked in a primary care setting for more than 10 years and takes a broader perspective of health. He often helps patients cope with medical conditions such as insomnia, diabetes, hypertension, stroke, heart attack, diabetes and COPD.
He also serves as department chair of adult psychology in Fargo-Moorhead and clinical assistant professor of clinical neuroscience at UND School of Medicine. He trains residents in Sanford Health internal medicine, family medicine, and psychiatry programs.
He also provides care to physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses and residents who are at risk or demonstrating signs of burnout.
