The Pediatric Feeding and Nutrition Center at Sanford Children’s Specialty Clinic is a unique interdisciplinary team providing individualized consultation, evaluation and treatment of children with feeding difficulties. The team includes a pediatric gastroenterologists Brock Doubledee, DO and Gary Neidich, MD, a nurse coordinator, a pediatric nurse practitioner, a nutritionist, a social worker, a speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist.

Children That May Benefit Include:

  • failure to thrive (growth difficulties)
  • swallowing, chewing, choking or gagging difficulties
  • behavioral difficulties related to feeding
  • sensory difficulties
  • structural defects that cause feeding difficulties
  • hyperalimentation (TPN) feedings
  • gastrostomy Feedings
  • feeding difficulties related to prematurity
  • children transitioning from gastrostomy to oral feedings
