Our four-year old son Landon has suffered with a condition called eosinophiliac esophagitis for the past 2 years. We have tried so many approaches with such frustration that he would seem to get better and then start throwing up again. We went to see Dr. Doubledee at Sanford Children’s Specialty Clinic, and he tried the approach of prednisone. While it was difficult to see him sick and see his personality change on prednisone, it did make a difference. He is better, and we pray that it does not come back again. We need to keep the foods he is allergic to away from him. Dr. Doubledee and his nurse, Janice, were so unbelievably kind and never made me feel that any question was too small. The care that we received from the hospital was wonderful. Every nurse and doctor was kind beyond words and comforting. Two things that really stuck out in our minds when we went in for Landon’s EGD to have biopsies:
The doctors and nurses were superb and I have told ALL of them. Keep up the GREAT work! Nicole and John :: Stratford, SD |
