Pediatric Residency Program
![]() Sanford Childrens is in the process of applying for accreditation of a new pediatric residency program. This new training program, led by Joseph Zenel, Jr., MD, will accommodate six residents per year in a three year training curriculum. If all goes as planned, we will admit our first year residency class in the summer of 2010. The immediate goal of the residency program is to enhance the care of the children of the Upper Midwest, by training specialists in childrens health who will populate our communities, both large and small. However, our residents will also learn a foundation of pediatric medicine that can serve as the basis for the most rigorous subspecialty fellowship programs.
