Explore, Adventure, Discovery
Asthma Camp is a place where kids who have asthma ages 8-14 can find ways to overcome the limitations asthma has placed on their lives. A place of exploration, adventure and discovery, Asthma Camp is the place where kids can fully enjoy summer camp and explore ways to better manage asthma, a disease that may have controlled their lives for far too long.

Asthma Camp provides a safe environment for kids with lung disease. The camp staff is composed of physicians and health professionals, experienced counselors and program leaders. Medical professionals trained in asthma management are available 24 hours a day. The medical support team includes doctors who specialize in treating asthma (pediatricians, pulmonologists, and allergists) plus nurses and respiratory therapists with several years experience.

Explore Asthma Control
At daily educational session kids can better understand what asthma actually is, how asthma attacks start, how they can be avoided, and then what to do.

Find Summer Adventure
Asthma Camp features lots of activities: archery, arts/ crafts, swimming, sailing, nature hiking, drama, the Dragon Challenge Course, Native American lore, nature activities, canoeing, and more. Camp Foster YMCA of the Okoboji’s is set in a beautiful, natural environment at East Lake Okoboji, Iowa.
